Safecon presents a “holistic” approach to safety for the client, combining plan & program development, inspection, safety management, physical protections & training into a complete, integrated safety package. These services can be offered to meet regulatory requirements or insurance program (OCIP, CCIP) needs or specification requirements for all phases of construction i.e. environmental remediation, demolition, and Local Law 11.
Plan & Program Development
Whether it be for the Chapter 33 requirement of the NYC Building Code or OSHA 1926 requirements, Safecon can engineer, develop and provide all required plans & programs including noise mitigation plans. Safecon is also involved in developing the prototype of NYCFD pre fire construction safety plans as is now required for construction projects.
Safecon offers the appropriate certified professional (CSP, NYC Certified Site Safety Manager or Site Safety Coordinator, Fire Safety Manger, Concrete Safety Manager or NYS Loss Control Personnel) to manage safety for a project from a technical & administrative perspective. Services are offered full-time or as an oversight or periodic service to supplement the client’s own program or provide third-party oversight. Information is transmitted through daily logs, deficiency notices, recommendation logs, safety alerts, safety meetings & accident reports—all sent electronically.
Safecon also provides inspectional support for the fire safety manager, safety strap & scaffold, & standpipe inspectional requirements on a construction site.
Physical Protection
From vertical and horizontal netting to shaft protection—from handrail & perimeter protection to various rough carpentry needs, the Safecon team can provide it all. Safecon can provide these services to the owner, CM/GC & the concrete contractor (on the erection/stripping deck) during all phases of construction.
Utilized in conjunction with Safecon inspection/safety management services it provides the GC/CM or owner with a means to correct non compliant conditions & provides necessary administrative back up to hold non-complying contractors accountable. With its sister company Tradeoff Construction, Safecon can meet all your jobsite safety needs.
